Black Barn

In 2003 Earle Architects completed the total restoration and partial rebuilding of a series of agricultural buildings to provide residential accommodation and a photographic studio for award winning photographer Carol Sharp, who specialises in wild flower photography.

All construction materials were locally sourced often recycled from existing structures on this 4 acre farm. The scheme utilises grey water recycling from roofs and bath water for toilet flushing and watering the wide variety of plants which the client grows and photographs.
